Udupi: Atul Rao’s Judicial Custody Extended till Sep 2

Udupi, Aug 22: Chief Judicial Magistrate A.M. Ramachandraiah on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of Atul Rao, accused in the Padmapriya Bhat case, till September 2.

Rao, however, was not present in court, as he was receiving treatment at Sanjivini Hospital in Mangalore. Rao was shifted from Udupi Sub-Jail to Mangalore Jail on July 5. The Corps of Detectives is investigating the case.
