Bengaluru: News of Kumaraswamy-Javadekar meeting gives rise to speculations

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, May 17: After an information that BJP Karnataka state in-charge of election and union minister, Prakash Javadekar, met H D Kumaraswamy, who happens to be the chief ministerial candidate of Congress-JD(S) alliance, and held discussions with him, made the rounds, lot of speculations and rumours began to float.

It is said that Javadekar went to the hotel where Kumaraswamy is staying on Wednesday May 16 morning and invited him to join hands with BJP, duly informing him that BJP is prepared to form the government in association with JD(S).

H D Kumaraswamy and Prakash Javadekar

Kumaraswamy, it is said, responded by saying that he and his party have already treaded lot of ground on this issue with Congress and hence there is no question of reconsideration of its decision. Javadekar therefore had to return empty-handed, sources said. However, Kumaraswamy denied that Javadekar or any other BJP leader had met him.

When Javadekar was approached at BJP office and questioned about this, he remained silent. Before leaving the office,, he accused Congress of indulging in backdoor politics. "Rahul Gandhi had termed JD(S) as BJP's B team. But now they are playing the farce of forging an alliance. Backdoor politics is not justified. People have voted against Congress and mandate of the people should be respected. BJP, which is the largest party in the assembly, will form the government," he commented.

Now the first and important job is to release JDS from Hotel Shangrila. When they are out we can convince them to resign and fight again with BJP banner.
