Mangalore, Sep 13: A meeting of the Mulgeni Tenants’ Association will be held at the auditorium of SDM Law College here, on Sunday September 21 at 3 pm.
The state revenue minister will be participating in the meeting.
The mulgeni tenants are facing many problems owing to the vague policies the successive state governments have followed. The land mafia has been grabbing the lands of the mulgeni tenants. The mulgeni tenants are unable to raise loans from the banks by mortgaging the lands in their possession.
Therefore, the meeting has been called to bring the problems being faced by them, to the notice of the revenue minister. He will be urged to find a permanent solution for the problems haunting the mulgeni tenants, said Maxim D’Silva, president of the Association.
