Karkala: Restrain New Life, Prosecute Publisher and Editor of 'Satyadarshini' - Sunil Kumar

Daijiworld Media Network - Karkala (SP)

Karkala, Sep 18: New Life organization, which has been working in the district for achieving its objective of religious conversions and also the editor and publisher of the work, 'Satyadarshini', distributed by the organization should be prosecuted and the New Life Centres should be locked up, demanded state secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha V sunil Kumar.

Urging the state government to act as above at a press conference held at the Travellers Bungalow here on Wednesday September 17, Kumar said, that the said organization, which is responsible for the unsavoury incidents that rocked Mangalore for the last four days, has been working to project Hindus in bad taste, by distributing the above-said book. This is highly condemnable, he added, alleging that huge sums of money was flowing into the country for the purpose from abroad. He sought a thorough probe into the sources of funds being pumped into the system for the purpose of religious conversions.

Leaders of the Congress, JD(S) and human rights activists who have been visiting the district, have not been considering the issue of conversions seriously. They have been showering sympathy on New Life. The fact that the same leaders remained silent when a Hindu leader was murdered in Orissa, has laid bare their double standards, he claimed.

The Congress party does not have the moral right to demand home minister Acharya's resignation on the issue. The entire Hindu community should wake up to the challenge posed by conversions. Youth of the comunity should actively join hands in the nationalistic acvitities, he said.

BJP spokesperson Harish Shenoy, taluk organizing secretary Sanoor Narasimha Kamat, party general secretary Purushotham Rao Hosmar, APMC president Antony D'Souza and others were present.

I dont know about new life, but yes there are many people who try to convert. There was an incident in my neighbourhood in Cox town, Bangalore, where the "so-called" preachers came on sunday morning 5 o'clock. The people got angry and the preachers were taken to police. In Ulsoor also one more incident happend and these preachers taunted a Ganapathy idol. Those people were taken to the police but police refused to book any case. There are many incidents like this.First of all learn to respect other religons. Thatz all i have to say and once again I dont support violence. Violence cannot solve any issue.I too have christian friends and "relatives" also. Its sad about the attack on innocent christians and churches. After all God is one.

New Life has caused troubles for Catholic families. Many are broken families due to their aggressive approach. We don't need them. We, catholics lived happily with our Christin/Hindu brothers for centuries.

Before alleging that new life has printed this document (Which i do not believe anyway) better find out the truth who has printed and published this article. As usual it may be the false propaganda from RSS or Bjarang Dal who may have printed and published this incrimantory article. If they found that new life has printed and published this article then they have every right to ban the organisation. But what if its vice a versa??
