Udupi: District INTUC Stages Protest Alleging Failure of State Administration

Udupi, Sep 19: The district unit of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) and its youth wing, jointly organized a protest in front of Clock Tower, near the service bus terminus, on Thursday September 18 , alleging the failure of the BJP-led state administration in all matters.

Kappettu Sudhakar Shetty, president, Auto Rickshaw Owners' and Drivers' Association, addressing the protesters, said that the government of chief minister B S Yeddyurappa had not achieved any significant progress, except that of luring opposition party MLAs into the party.

Congress leader Yatish Karkera, Keerti Shetty, district INTUC president Murli Shetty, municipal member Anandi, Amrut Shenoy, block Congress president Divakar Kunder, Krishnaraj Saralaya, Evelyn Lewis, Bhaskar Rao Kediyoor, and Harikrishna, were present on the occasion.
