Udupi: Former CM Kumaraswamy Ridicules the CM's Claim on 'Opposition's Conspiracy'

Udupi, Sep 23: Addressing a press conference here on Sunday September 21, ex-chief minister H D Kumaraswamy ridiculed chief minister(CM) Yeddyurappa for repeatedly threatening to reveal the conspirators from the opposition behind everything that happens in the state, right from the farmers' strike, attacks on churches or shortage of power in the state.

He said, that the CM also has the peculiar habit of announcing grants for various projects without backed by budgetary allocations. For the works in the even constituencies in which the assembly bypolls are due, the chief minister releases funds for specific works in panchayats. The chief minister has been doing the work which are normally attended by the gram panchayat members, he criticized.

Kumaraswamy said, that the JD(S) will field candidates from all the eight constituecies, including the one which fell vacant after the JD(S) MLA's death, and expressed the hope that his party would win not less than five seats.

As regards the failure of the state government to regulate incidences of the violence, the former CM said, that the state has a weak home minister and childish home minister. They have together formed an irresponsible government, which has failed on all fronts, he derided.

"The chief minister resists the central government's action in issuing notices. He has warned district administrations for failure to maintain law and oder. He should stop casting aspersions on the opposition actions if he wants the opposition parties to co-operate," he advised.

JD(S) state general secretary Mattar Ratnakar Hegde, district JD(S) president Deviprasad Shetty, DK district JD(S) president Balraj Rai and several others were present.
