Udupi: Camp on Eco Awarenes Held for School, College Students

Udupi, Sep 23: An awareness camp on garbage disposal and various competitions related to eco-environment awareness were held for students of city schools and colleges on Monday September 22 at the Town Hall.

After inaugurating the camp, MLA Raghupathy Bhat said that the municipality and education department has been taking an interest in involving students in these programmes that benefit the whole society.



Municipal councilor Dinakar Shetty, block education officer Manjunatayya, higher secondary education deputy director Cheluvappa, and  municipal overseeing committee president Pandurang Malpe, were present on the dais. Municipal commissioner R N Shanbagh welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks.

Hundreds of students from various schools and colleges attended the camp.
