Kundapur: Poaching in Reserve Forest - Hunter Abandons Gun before Fleeing

Kundapur, Sep 26: In an incident that occurred recently, an identified person, who was involved in poaching of wild animals at the forest region of the Kulimardibake reserve forest in Hosur near here, threw away his gun after the forest personnel cornered him, and succeeded in escaping.

The forest staff of Ganganadu had been deputed to the spot, based on reliable information about poaching. Forest officer Anand Hoodar has confiscated the country-made gun abandoned by the hunter. A case has been booked at Byndoor police station.
