M'lore: VHP Mahasabe Passes Resolution Against Proselytization

Daijiworld Media Network—Mangalore (TU/CN)

Mangalore, Sep 27: The Vishwa Hindu Parishat passed a resolution against proselytizing as well as inequality against Hindus and urged for the enactment of a law to ban cow slaughter at its ‘Hindu Dharmika Mahasabe’ held at Sanganiketan on Friday September 26.

The Mahasabe condemned the conversion of Hindus and defamation of Hindu deities by  Christian missionaries. It urged the union government to enact a law banning conversion. The congregation demanded the government introduce a uniform civil code, rather than appeasing the minorities.

It alleged that majority Hindus have been treated as second class citizens with all privileges being enjoyed only by minorities. The Mahasabe also passed a resolution that maths and temples should become the hub of uniting Hindu society, abolition of untouchability, education, and service.

It is good that the whole issue has given some opportunity for introspection on both sides. For Hindus the need for building Schools, colleges, hospitals has been highlighted. It is not that nothing is done it but the efforts are far less. A part of the money spent on feasts and utsavs, golden and diamond articles , can be diverted to such noble causes and God will not object.

We should remember that while our own CET system was working fine and was to become a national model, just because of initiative of a Hindu Institution backed by various Mathadhipathis the CET has been crippled depriving many poor and meritorious students of opportunities. Each step by the various Governments were frustrated by them through prolonged legal battles.

When this is the case why cant we take a leaf from the Christian institutions of providing good education and healthcare at affordable cost? It is true that some have done it but it requires to be done on a large scale.

My best wishes to all my hindu brothers. I hope a lot of good will come out for the majority of Hindus and christians. The misunderstandings will always be there if we do not have compassion and understanding of all that is good and bad around us. Let us strive to be good human beings. I wish let hindus talk and work hard to improve relations within their own sects as well as come up not only ideas but action to promote economic and cultural growth of hindus by way of religious tolerance, providing free or subsidised health care and education to all.

Let them think and work also about improving their lot of orphans, widows and downtrodden. Let the good what christians are doing set an example for all communities to improve their own lot by expression of true love and peace within us and all around us to make a better place for all humankind irrespective of caste, creed and religion.

Finally a big thank you and hugs to the hindu brothers who have brought about greater unity amongst the christians, I hope this tradedy of mistrust and manipulation will bring about greater unity amongst the hindu caste and creeds as well. let love and peace have ultimate victory for greater Glory of God Almighty, The Creator of Man. jai hind and peace with you one and all.

Really i feel very sad for the Hindus, in thier own country they are in troubles, whereas minority community enjoys all the benefits of Government. But Majority have been suppressed totally, whom to be blamed for this situation??? It's the policy of Congress which made them for this.. they are very much alert about minorities only to keep thier votebank alive, they have gained much Hindu Votes for granted, totally neglected them & made them much poor , illiterate.

No party can win a election in India without Hindu votes, but they have taken for Granted, So Hindus should wake up & teach a befetting lesson to Congress leaders, all fraud leaders.

Agreed all conditions of Mahasabha. well, is there any one from this team is ready to sit with SC/ST and have a lunch or share food with lower cast. if so there is no problem in hinduism. These rules makers (upper cast) never allows lower cast to sit with them share with them or even allow to enter their temples, then where you want to go !!!!. sure they are welcomed by other world who does not have any such untouchable feelings. First let these swamiji welcome any one from DSS members to sit next to these high profile swamis - then everything will be ok.

The problem is within Hindu as they have untouchability.Even today all the Hindu people cannot enter the Maths and Temple due thier cast and creed differences. What is the point in high lighting on conversions. If you are true seer of the math with holy ambitions then why you involve with VHP and RSS agenda. You do not have the right to say to Ban cow slaughter.

It is our legitimate right to beef, mutton or any other meat of our choice. You need leather seats in your airconditioned cars and you forget that the leather is obtained from cow slaughther. This is your new plan attack on muslim and christian community who will not stop consuming beef even you ban the cow slaughter.

Why you visit USA and Europe where beef is sold in every corner.Your children go for overseas studies and have burgers of any choice and you sitting in India talking about ban on beef. All you need is education and knowledge which you lack because you people never work hard to earn your bread.

Now these people are really trying to understand the consequences of oppression and untouchability policy which had divided their own brethren. Many of the non-brahmin class have really suffered for long time. The idea to hide teachings in the form of complicated shlokas and usage of sanskrit which was not known to many people had made life terrible for innocent people.

They have realized the need for change. Let all codified knowledge should be available to masses. I want to see people embracing brahmanism and also would like to see people praying in any temple that they wish to go. Also I would like to see some good work done - especially helping the people in need. Let charity and service begin.

They are realizing the importance of all these and definitely they have picked up values form Christianity. I am happy about it. Ban VIOLENCE in any form. Give your answer to christians by sponsoring education, health-care, and related services. These will help to build a civilized society which christians have been doing for long. Come out of your narrow walls and peep through the small hole. You will see universe in all its magnificent colours. Live a life worthy to be offered to god in the end. I will support whatever good these people do. But will not tolerate any irrational acts.

No sensible Christian or Christian missionaries will defame Hindu deities. But they are professing that there is only One God, Creator of heaven and earth, the Universe. This is truth. Please see the Government employee’s percentage. The percentage of the minorities including Muslim and Christians is it more than 12% even though their population is approx 16% in India. Please advice in what way Hindu’s are second class citizen. Is it the higher caste and class of people loosing their hold on Dalits and oppressed class? Truth will always have victory.
