Puttur TP Officer Faces Suspension

Puttur, Sep 27: The local taluk panchayat executive officer C Nagesh is facing suspension for claiming inflated bills with regard to the food supplied to the trainees who participated in the SGSY scheme,, held at Koila.

The food to the trainees was supplied from a hotel in Uppinangady and the actual bill amounted to Rs 6,248. However, the official drew a sum of Rs 1, 17,026 by inflating the same. The zilla panchayat conducted the investigation and recommended for his suspension. Being a Class-I officer, decision on his suspension need to be taken by the government.

In the past, the said executive officer had filed defamation case against Badila Hussain, who had obtained details of the said bills under the Right to Information Act. Besides, he had also complained to the Press Council of India against the newspapers which carried the story of the inflated bill claim.

    Mr.Badila Husain will be in trouble, because the TP officers were working as BJP agents. Those who sue to these officers will not be entertained in Puttur taluk office. My family is experiencing this type of treatment from Puttur Taluk office since last few years. No doubt Mr.Nagesh will be protected by BJP.
