Udupi, Feb 25: The Indian armed force tankers that were located at Seabird (INS Kadamba), Asia’s largest naval base in Karwar in Uttara Karnataka were transported by railway wagons to Secundarabad, through Mangalore recently.

Additional security personnel were posted in all the railway stations en-route when the wagons carrying 15 tankers, 20 jeeps and 4 coaches passed through various stations.  The army personnel also accompanied the artillery, staying in adjacent bogies with cooking and dining facility on-board.

A similar process had been undertaken by the Army a couple of times before in the past few months. But for general public, it was a rare view to see some of the military tankers and artillery. Since most of the people did not know about the process, there was a general perception that the Army was preparing itself for a war, stationing itself in strategic points.

Mr Alex Lobo, don't under estimate Indian Defense force. Are you aware the "rusted" you are calling is the actual paint of the military tankers. Do you want them to paint with glittering color so it will be visible to the air attacks?

These rusted and dusty arms surely seem to be going for scrapyard not for war. Look out for the arms thieves.

People... We are making mountain out of mole, this kind of movement keep happening in Defense, its in no way any preparation for any war... I don't know How may of us understand what war means... If by just bombing a nation, problems can be solved, Afganis and iraqis would have lived in peace, without any blast and attacks Even The so called "super power" have been struggling for years in this region ... Pray for peace...

You are right Lydia, Pakistan should be taught a lesson. You are right Carol, let there be peace and no war but I think we should wage a war and finish this matter once and for all. Nuclear power, thatz a worry but what I feel that many innocent lives are lost daily for no reason. So i think let us face the consequences and bring an end to this problem. If lucky, our future generation will not have to face this menace. Jai Hind.

Being frequently pricked by Pakistan, it  is too irritating and it looks fair  to flatten the rogue country once and for all. However,  that country  being nuclear-armed and part of it already surrendered to the terrorist outfit, the issue becomes more sensitive now than it was before. I hope our bureaucracy takes wise decisions and uses the nations resources in the interest of her people. At the same time we the public must play our part of patriotism by being alert in all ways to protect loss of lives/property from transgressors.
