Mangaluru, Nov 17: South Canara District Central Cooperative Bank president, Dr M N Rajendra Kumar is a well-known figure who is often seen in public platforms. If the developments which took place at the 67th All India Cooperative Week held here recently is any indication, Kumar appears to be considering the option of joining the BJP.

At the programme held on Sunday November 15, state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel indireclty invited Dr Kumar to join the BJP.

Nalin said that Rajendra Kumar has been successfully implementing central government programmes. He said the people of the district wish him to grow into a national and international level leader. "This is not a topic that can be discussed openly. I will speak to him personally," he said.

This has given rise to speculations about Rajendra Kumar inching closer to the BJP.
