Kalaburagi: Direct flight operations to New Delhi begin

Kalaburagi, Nov 19: The flight services which connect the city directly with New Delhi were unveiled by MP, Dr Umesh Jadhav, on Wednesday November 18.

The flights being operated by Star Air will be avialable three days a week. The flights will be available on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Saturdays. The flights will take just 2 hr 20 min to cover the distance.

Direct flights to Delhi have been introduced a year after the city was connected by air. Star Air has already been operating flights to Bengaluru from here.

The flight to Delhi leaves Kalaburagi at 10.20 am and reaches Delhi at 12.40 pm. On its return journey, it leaves Delhi at 1.10 pm and reaches Kalaburagi at 3.30 pm. Shortly it is proposed to run services to Tirupathi. It is learnt that Star Air also plans to operate flights to Hyderabad, Hubli and Mumbai from here shortly.
