Mangaluru: 'The Ramlan Foundation' champions charitable cause during Covid-19

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jan 8: City based, 'The Ramlan Foundation®' championed the cause of giving in one of the most difficult years seen in the recent past. With over 18+ initiatives touching upon 120+ lives, the foundation carried out various impactful initiatives last year. The foundation was one of the first few to start COVID Relief campaign by providing financial help to unemployed daily wagers and ration kits to underprivileged families in Mangaluru. Ongoing online classes is a huge challenge for poor students, and the foundation stepped in to support by sponsoring smart tablets and Wi-Fi connections. Last year, the foundation added four more students to their education sponsorship program - an ongoing commitment to educate students till they get their first job. The NGO also enabled employment opportunity for youth struggling in the current environment.

The foundation formerly known as 'Ramlan's Charitable Trust®' was started in the year 2013 with a motto to help less fortunate people in the society.

“In the last seven years we have conducted more than 75+ initiatives, touching lives of over 10,000+ people. Through social workers at ground level, the trust reaches out to the poorest of the poor from remote corners” – Zeeshan Ramlan, CEO – The Ramlan Foundation®
