Mangaluru, Aug 1: The theme of second day novena was "Prayer is the Divine strength of the family life".
Fr Clifford Fernandes, parish priest - Holy Cross Church Kulshekar was the main celebrant, Fr Andrew Leo D'Souza, Fr Lancy D’Souza concelebrated the mass.
Fr Clifford called on the devotees of St Lawrence if you believe that god listens to you whatever you are going through your biggest power is prayer, god understands our prayers even when we can’t find words to say them.
The Choir was from Simon & team Bajal.
The 5 pm mass had the main celebrant Fr Cyril Lobo, director Divya Jyothi-Udupi, while Fr Peter Gonsalves nad Fr Melwin Pinto were concelebrants. The choir was from Valencia Parish.
During the mass and novena special prayers offered for the children of the families.
