Bantwal: Rs 20, 000 to be credited to National Family Welfare Scheme beneficiaries – MLA Rajesh Naik

Bantwal, Aug 4: “An amount of Rs 61.40 lacs have been approved for 307 people in Bantwal as part of the first instalment of National Family Welfare Scheme and Rs 1.28 crore sanctioned for another 644 people. The amounts at the rate of Rs 20, 000 will be credited directly to their bank accounts,” said Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik.

He was speaking after distributing the approval letters symbolically at the MLA’s office here. “Rs 1.90 crore has been approved for 951 people of the taluk. The amount used to be distributed by cheques earlier but now it will be credited directly to their accounts. The assistance for final rites that is pending for a long time has also been released. In all, Rs 18.95 lacs will be distributed among 379 people at the rate of Rs 5,000 each,” he said.

Tahsildar Dr Smita Ramu, BUDA president B Devadas Shetty, former zilla panchayat member Kamala K Poojary, Anantadi panchayat president Ganesh Poojary, former president Sanath Kumar Rai, Barimar panchayat vice president Sadashiva Barimaru, Panjikallu Gram Panchayat president Sanjiva Poojary Pilingalu, Ravish Shetty Karkala, Ganesh Rai Mani, Mahesh Shetty Jumadigudde, Nagesh Bhandary Karinka, Sadananda Navoor, Suresh Kotian and others were present.

The Taluk Central Standing Committee head Narendranath Mithur gave details of the beneficiaries. Revenue inspector Vijaya R Santhosh, Prashanth Shetty, village accountant Vandana, Ashwini, Swati, Chennabasava Allavagola and Prakash Muthihalli were present.
