Kundapur: Foundation stone to be laid for Rs 1,122 cr worth projects in Byndoor - MP Raghavendra

Kundapur, Oct 30: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and former chief minister B S Yediyurappa will lay the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 1,122 crore in Byndoor and inaugurate projects worth Rs 201 crore on November 7.
B Y Raghavendra, MP said projects entailing a total investment of Rs 1,323 crore have been sanctioned for Byndoor Assembly constituency.

He was addressing a press meet in Chittoor.

Raghavendra said a pure drinking water scheme under the NABARD project in Byndoor constituency totaling Rs 585 crores (agreement of Rs 469 crore) cluster-1 (Hill section) and Cluster 2 (Coastal region) have been approved. Through lift water scheme Hosangadi and Gulwadi water will be supplied to 3 lacs of people under the gram panchayat limits which will be inaugurated.

Chief Minister Bommai will arrive in Byndoor on November 7. He will lay the foundation station for the construction of an out port in Maravanthe at the cost of Rs 85 crore, lift irrigation project worth Rs 165 crore in Siddapura, construction of national highway from Byndoor to Ranibennur at a cost of Rs 218 crore and several other projects.

Byndoor MLA BM Sukumar Shetty, District BJP resident Kuladi Suresh Nayak, Mandal president Deepak Kumar Shetty Sadananda Uppinakudru and others were present.
