Mangaluru: Workshop on Family Development and Land Records Management held

Mangaluru, Nov 1: Workshop on Family Development and Land Records Management was organized in Neermarga Parish on the October 30 by the Commission for Social Development and Commission for Justice and Peace.

The programme commenced with the imploring of God’s Blessings through an Invocation. The event was inaugurated by watering the plants by Fr Anil Canute DMello, Parish Priest, Fr Vincent DSouza, director, CODP- -ISD and Secretary, Commission for Social Development, Diocese of Mangalore, Ravi Saldanha and Prakash Pereira-vice president and secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Maurice Renjal- Coordinator of Parish 21 Commissions, Flavia D Souza and Violet Saldanha – Coordinators of Commissions for Social Development and Justice and Peace respectively followed by the opening speech by Fr Anil D Mello Wherein he spotlighted the ways to live a Fruitful and Meaningful Life.

Fr Vincent D Souza and Ivan Menezes were the resource persons of the day. Fr Vincent, at the beginning of his lecture on Family Development, appreciated Fr Anil D Mello -parish priest for his exemplary life of patience, endurance, and for untiring labor of love and commitment thereby being responsible for the spiritual development of the flock entrusted to his care. He further gave wide and excellent coverage to the topics: a) Toxic spending habits that affect the family b) Family budget and its importance c) Social Development and the Family d) Government Saving Schemes Ivan Menezes expounded on the meaning of land, Real Estate, Types of Real Estate, step by step procedure to buy a plot of land (things to ensure when buying land).

The participants asked clarifying questions seeking more information about land records and Ivan quenched their thirst of knowledge through detailed explanations. The sessions were highly interactive and informative.

Walter Saldanha compered the programme. Flavia DSouza introduced the Resource Persons and welcomed the gathering and Violet Saldanha proposed the vote of thanks.
