Bantwal, Nov 21: “The Janaspandana programme is being held to avoid the people from wandering from pillar to post of various offices and to respond to the issues of villagers,” said MLA Rajesh Naik.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Janaspandana programme held at Allipade Rama Bhajana Mandira auditorium. “Taluk level officers have been brought here,” he said.

Bantwal tahsildar Dr Smita Ramu said that the programme is being held at the behest of MLA Rajesh Naik and his concept for the first time. Sarapadi gram panchayat president Leelavati presided over the programme.

Gram panchayat office bearers, government officials and police officials were present. Nearly 417 facilities were distributed, 68 applications were received and forwarded to the concerned departments for disposal.

Allipade church parish priest submitted a complaint to the MLA regarding the land dispute between the church administration and local auto drivers. The MLA directed the tahsildar to identify the real owners of the land and take a decision.

The auto drivers requested the MLA to vacate the statue of God and construct an auto stand there. The MLA directed the police officials to ensure that there is no law and order problem in this connection.

A delegation of the Navoor gram panchayat submitted a complaint to the MLA that their grievances are not being attended to. The PDO was absent in the Janaspandana programme on Monday.

Taluk panchayat’s Rajanna welcomed. Sarapadi gram panchayat member Dhananjay Shetty rendered the vote of thanks. Dinesh Suvarna Rai compered the programme.
