Kundapur: Woman gives birth to baby in ambulance

Kundapur, Nov 23: A 27-year-old female delivered a baby in an Arogya Kavacha 108 ambulance while she was being shifted to Mother & Child hospital from a community health center in Brahmavar.

Arogya Kavacha 108 Kota had received call from Brahmavar community health center that a woman is suffering labour pain on November 21 at 4.25 am.

Immediately, driver of 108 ambulance Chandrakanth and EMT Jane Lewis rushed to the community health center and made all arrangements to shift Sandhya to Mother & Child hospital. While shifting the lady to the hospital, the lady gave birth to a female baby in the ambulance near Nitturu. Driver Chandrakanth and Jane Lewis helped in her delivery. Later, they were admitted to the hospital. The doctors informed that the child and mother both are healthy.
