Udupi: Bike collision, pedestrian dies, rider, pillion injured

Udupi, Nov 25: A pedestrian of Bagalkot origin was killed as he was knocked down by a bike that was going to Ucchila from Mangaluru on the late night of November 23. The incident occurred on NH 66 at Bada Ermalu.

The deceased isidentified as Devappa Aadina (45), who was working as a daily wage labourer.

Devappa was returning home after completing his dinner when the bike hit him. Though he was rushed to hospital, he succumbed around midnight.

Bike rider Ashraf Mohammed Sulaiman (20) and pillion Mohammed Zubair Ali (19) have also got injured in the accident and are recuperating at a private hospital in Udupi.

Padubidri police have registered a case.
