Udupi: Atirudra Mahayaga concludes in Shivapadi Sri Umamaheshwara temple

Udupi, Mar 6: The Atirudra Mahayaga that began on February 22 at Shivapadi Sri Umamaheshwara temple came to an end on Sunday morning in the presence of the seer of Shringeri Sri Sharad Peeta Sri Vidhushekhara Bharati Theertha Mahaswamy.

Over 40,000 devotees from outstation states participated in the yaga. The rituals began at 6:30 am, with 180 priests performing the formalities in the Yaga Kundas. The yaga was accompanied by Veda chanting, band, and chende, and concluded at 11:30 am.

In the afternoon, Jagadguru held Kalashibhiksheka, Prasanna Pooja, Mahapooja, Pallapooja, and food was served to all the devotees.

MP Tejasvi Surya, minister Sunil Kumar, MLA Sukumar Shetty, and others participated in the event.
