Mangaluru, Mar 8: A woman working as a secretary of CSI Karnataka Southern diocese bishop has filed a complaint of sexual harassment and mental torture in the women's police station against the treasurer and legal consultant in the CSI office.

The complainant said she had been working in her office for the last 10 years as a permanent employee. However, her salary has been kept on hold and remains unpaid for the last nine months. In the last six months, her room at the workplace has remained locked and as per the complaint there is a conspiracy to fire her from the job. Besides, the complaint says she had undergone character assassination with rumours being spread about her. She says she had remained silent due to fear of losing her job. But, she says now with the encouragement given by her counterparts in Mysuru she filed a complaint and spoke with women journalists.

The CSI diocese was without a bishop for some time after the earlier bishop had retired when the treasurer and legal adviser had sexually harassed and mentally tortured her, she says in her complaint.
