‘Bantwal Prajadhwani Yatra’ will be held by Congress for 14 days from Mar 10: B Ramanath Rai

Bantwal, Mar 8: “A Bantwal Prajadhwani rally will be held across the constituency for 14 days from March 10,” said former minister B Ramanath Rai.

Speaking in the news conference at Panemangalore block Congress office, he said that the Rs five thousand crore worth work done during his term through the Siddaramaiah government for five years will be informed during the rally. “Public meetings will be held every evening in the presence of party leaders. The rally will start after offering pooja at Polali Rajarajeshwari temple,” he said.

He said that he will not claim the work done by others as done by him. “I had got the drainage project approved in October 2017. Badhugrama drinking water project was started during my term. The work of Panje Mangesh Rai memorial and Ambedkar Bhavan was started during my term. The work is not completed during the term of the current MLA,” he said.

“Congress did not indulge in communal riots. The banners of sand mafia and clubs are rampant now,” he said.

Leader Pius L Rodrigues gave details of the rally. Chandraprakash Shetty, Sudeep Kumar Shetty, Baby Kunder, Padmaprasad Jain, Sudarshan Jain, Madhusoodan Shenoy, Abbas Ali B M, Mayilappa Salian, Suresh Jora, Chandrashekar Poojary, Chandrashekar Bhandary, Sudhakar Shenoy Khandiga and others were present.
