Bantwal: Auto of person who came to take part in protests stolen

Bantwal, March 9: Unidentified thieves have stolen an auto rickshaw of a person who had come to participate in protests on B C Road in broad daylight.

The auto was parked by the person who had come to participate in the protests that opposed laying of the 400 KV electric cables by the Raitha Sangha. The vehicle was parked in front of Rotary club – Lions Club Bhavan.

The man had joined the protests at 10.30 am and had returned at 3 pm after the protests. However, the auto was nowhere to be found even after searching the surroundings.

Vitla resident Yogish Kumar has lodged a complaint with Bantwal town police station in this connection.
