Kasargod, Mar 9: A bull gored several people, resulting in one fatality and many injuries in Mogral Puttur on Thursday, March 9.

The deceased, Siddique (22) from Chitradurga, was seriously injured and admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

However, he passed away at night without responding to treatment.

Reportedly, when the bull was being transported to the Puttur slaughterhouse, he cut the rope and ran away. When it was caught, it attacked Siddique rendering him paralyzed. Later, the bull ran for kilometers and damaged two shops and vehicles, injuring more than 20 people as they ran helter-skelter out of fear.

After several hours of fear and chaos, environmentalists heaved a sigh of relief when the police and fire brigade successfully captured the bull.
