Udupi: Kashmir-bound train passenger dies during journey

Udupi, Mar 10: An elderly person, who was travelling to Kashmir from Kerala, on some work, died during the journey as the train reached Udupi railway station.

The deceased is identified as Abdul Aziz (74), elder brother of Kunhi Mohammed, a resident of Kuruva village, Panga Cheddi, Malappuram district of Kerala.

Abdul was found to have collapsed on his seat as the train reached Udupi railway station. Co-passengers who saw Abdul in collapsed condition, informed the matter to the railway personnel. Doctor of railway rushed to the bogie and declared Abdul as dead.

It is suspected that Abdul must have died of cardiac arrest or some other medical reason. A case is registered in Manipal police station.
