Kundapur: Electrical short circuit – Hardware shop gutted, goods worth Rs 30 lac burnt

Kundapur, Mar 13: A hardware shop got gutted as fire broke out due to electrical short circuit on Sunday March 12 at Nagoor near Kundapur-Byndoor NH 66.

The hardware shop was owned by Raviraj Hegde and is situated at the shopping complex near the mosque at Nagoor. As it was Sunday, the shop was opened only till afternoon.

The fire was noticed at around 2 to 3 pm. Pipes and other goods inside the shops are burnt down.

Locals tried to put off the fire. Byndoor fire service personnel arrived to the spot and brought the fire under control. It is estimated that the loss is around Rs 30 lac.
