Kundapur, Mar 13: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant said, “The BJP should be brought to power again in Karnataka, in order to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is working to develop the infrastructure of the country. The idea of double engine government should be realized.”

Sawant spoke at the women’s convention that was organized by the BJP women wing of Udupi at Kurukshethra grounds near Koteshwar.

“Beti Padavo, Beti Bachao and toilet schemes have shown the dedication the BJP has towards women. Many other schemes for women like Sukanya Samruddhi, start-up India, Pradhan Mantri Kausalya yojana and cancellation of talaq are implemented. For pregnant women 26 weeks of leave with salary is given. These are historical decisions,” said Sawant.

Malavika Avinash, eminent state BJP leader said, “It is our pride that PM Modi has given solution to the toilet problem of women of this country. Drinking water through Jaljeevan mission, cooking gas through Ujwal scheme, electricity to 18000 villages are the achievement of BJP government.”

Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said, “The BJP has responded to the aspirations of SC, ST and weaker sections of the society. Those who support terrorism should never be brought to power. Why Congress leaders are not condemning bomb blasts?”
