Udupi, Mar 14: Fourth annual day celebration of Janani Mahila Mandali Sooda and International Women’s Day was celebrated at Sooda Subramanya aided school with various sports and cultural activities.

The stage programme, which was held after the events, was inaugurated by Sooda Samaja Ratna Shankar Kunder by lighting the lamp. The programme was presided over by Vidyalaxmi R Bhat.

Secretary of the association Renuka Ramesh Shastri presented the annual report. Vishwalatha Satish Belman, who was the resource person, gave useful information on the necessity of women’s associations and on adolescents. Kamala Devadiga, Raviraj, president of Bright group friends ® Sooda, who were the guests extended their good wishes.

Nirmal read the names of the winners of sports competitions. Sukanya Bhat, Bhargavi Tantri and Ananya Bhat offered the prayers. Vidyalaxmi R Bhat welcomed the gathering. Vidya Nitin rendered a vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Nalini Shankar.
