Her mother, Netravathi, wife of Ravikumar, headmaster of Nandavara Government Higher Primary School, had long harboured the ambition of completing her PUC education. Though earlier attempts did not materialise, she was encouraged to pursue the examination after her daughter enrolled at the same academic level.
With strong support from her husband and encouragement from college lecturers, both mother and daughter appeared for the examination together. Netravathi was allotted the Montpadavu examination centre and appeared through the Government Pre-University College, Montpadavu Centre.
In her first attempt, she successfully cleared the Arts stream examination, securing 257 marks, marking a personal milestone years after her initial aspiration.
Meanwhile, Hemashri delivered an outstanding academic performance, topping her college in the Arts stream with 562 marks in the II PUC annual examination.
Speaking to the media, Ravikumar expressed immense joy over the rare achievement of his wife and daughter clearing the same examination in the same year, calling it a proud and emotional moment for the family.
