Mangalore: Moti Mahal college celebrates Onam

Mangalore, Aug 23: Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management celebrated Onam Feast 2014 on Friday August 22.

The event commenced at 9 am with the formal function. Frew Peter of final year compered the programme and the welcome speech was delivered by the student council president Rahul P.

Chief guest of the event professor Shyam Prasad S inspired the students with the Onam message and congratulated them for the successful organization of the event.

Professor Nikhlesh Nair, principal of Moti Mahal College of Hotel Management, professor Prasanna Shetty, principal of Laxmi College of Hotel Management and professor Jayaram also addressed the gathering.

The formal event concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Deepak Sutheendran, the student council vice-president.

Various traditional competitions were conducted including 'pookalamalsaram' (floral mat) and 'vadamvali' (tug of war).

The event was conducted at Moti Kalamantap. It concluded with the traditional Onam feast of 17 courses.

The event was sponsored by Style Wear Tailors, Praveen (florist and decorators), Limelite Creations, Preetham Sequeira and Albin Jose.
