Moodbidri: Youth 'Kavya Sangam' Held at Gantalkatte

Mangalore, Sep 8: 'Kavya Sangam', a poetic gathering, was organized under the aegis of 'Amcho Yuvak' Konkani monthly and ICYM unit of Gantalkatte parish, at Gantalkatte church hall on Saturday September 6.

Fr Mark Walder, parish priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour church, Gantalkatte, inaugurated the programme and graced the occasion. Avinash Pinto, editor of 'Amcho Yuvak', and sub-editor Clement Fernandes, were present on the dais.

Fourteen youths recited their poems on the occasion. The poetry recital session was moderated by artist Raj Venur and 'Amcho Yuvak' former editor Prakash Siddakatte.  Gantalkatte parishioners and Konkani poets were present on the occasion.

Fr Anil D' Souza, diocesan ICYM youth director, delivered the introductory speech.
