Udupi, Sep 9: Yuvaraj (28) from Kaup Padu village and Nitin (23) from Kaup, accused of assaulting rickshaw driver from Kaup Anil Shetty (31) on the night of Thursday September 4, have surrendered in a court here on Saturday September 6.
The surrendered persons are facing charges of assaulting the rickshaw driver named above because of some differences of opinion and also attacking the driver again the same night, when he was undergoing treatment at Udupi government hospital. The rickshaw drivers of Kaup had observed a bandh, demanding action against the miscreants.
As the policemen stepped up heat on the culprits, they surrendered in the court. A case in this connection, is being investigated by the Kaup police.
