M'lore: 'Soundarya Palace' to be Inaugurated on Sep 14 at Kateel

Mangalore, Sep 11: Newly-built 'Soundarya Palace', a shopping cum boarding and lodging complex which also houses a conference hall, located close to Sri Durgaparameshwari temple, Kateel, near here, will be inaugurated at 11.00 am on Sunday September 14.

Kamaladeviprasad Asranna, temple trustee, will inaugurate the building while Shibaroor Vedavyas Tantri will perform Vedic rituals to bless the new building. Sri Vishwaprasannateerta Swami of Pejavar Math, Sri Mohandas Swami of Manila Dhama and Sri Ramanand Swami of Kolya Math, will grace the occasion.

A musical concert by state award winner Rameshchandra and troupe will be a part of the inaugural ceremony. The children's yakshagana group of the temple will stage the episode  'Panchajanya', on the occasion.

The complex has been promoted by Soundarya Ramesh, a Bangalore-based businessman who hails from Dakshina Kannada (DK) district. He has been municipal councilor of Dasarahalli for three consecutive terms. Soundarya Palace is easily accessible by road from the city and Bajpe airport.
