Sri Krishna Harikata Saptaha Committee will organize Harikatha Saptaha for the ninth consecutive year starting from September 19 at Sri Krishna Kalyan Mandir here.
 
Briefing the press persons at Kalyan Mandir on Saturday September 13, committee president Prof M B Puranik said that the 'Harinama Sankeertane' and 'Harikatamrata' programme will be launched at 5 pm on September 19 with chanting of bhajans. There will be a programme everyday between 5 pm to 8 pm till September 25.
 
He said that episodes on Bhakta Bhishma, Sitha Kalyana, Mahisa Mardini, Gajendra Moksha, Samyantakamani, Saranagrani Vibishana, Satyavan Savitri, Bhakta Ambarisha will be presented by renowned keertana experts including other states. The programme is aimed at to enrich the Keertana among people which is on the verge of destruction. 

A felicitation programme to honour Mohan Rao Ucchila, Yashodamma, KR Puthuraya and Manmohan Rao in recognition of their contribution to the Haridasa Keertana will be held on the same occasion.
 
K Mahabala Shetty, executive president, Sudakar Rao Pejavara, general secretary, Sanath Kumar Jain and Rathnakar Jain were present.
