Mangalore: Prof G V Joshi Nominated to Karnataka State Planning Board

Mangalore, Sep 14: Prof G V Joshi, dean of the Arts Faculty in Mangalore University, has been nominated as the non-official member of Karnataka Planning Board.

Prof Joshi has been working in the department of economics in the university since the last 25 years. Because of his efforts, Corporation Bank Chair in the university has received wide acclaim. He is the co-ordinator of the programme for teaching economics of insurance, and a honorary visiting gprofessor at Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte.

Prof Joshi's articles and books on land reforms, agro industries, migration of rural population etc., have been products of deep research and profound knowledge. He has completed six major research projects in thje university.
