Mangalore: Mother Jumps Ends Life after Throwing Child into Well

Mangalore, Sep 15: A woman named Lakshmi (22), residing at T C Road within Ullal police station limits, committed suicide by jumping into a well, on Sunday September 14. Before committing suicide, she threw her 18-month-old child named Manikanta into the well.

The policemen said that the woman, hailing from Gadag, was residing in a rented house owned by Rozario. While having lunch, a minor altercation ensued between herself and her husband, culminating in Mallaiah, her husband, physically assaulting her. Lakshmi, simmering with anger, immediately ended her life by jumping into the well.

A case has been registered with Ullal police station in this regard.
