Mangalore: Mammoth Fish Found on Shore Weighing 800 Kg

Mangalore, Sep 17: A large fish was found along the shore at Kadappura, near Manjeshwar, on Tuesday September 16. The fish was spotted by local fisherman Moideen Kutty as he was strolling by the sea.



The bulky fish weighing around 800 kgs had drifted onto the shore at during the high tide on Monday night and was thought to have struggled to return to deeper waters. The local fishermen joined together to bring in the fish from the water.

They then auctioned the fish.  Sources informed that the fish contained meaty flesh without bones which sells at Rs 100 per kg.
