Mumbai: Chivas Fashion Show Ends with Glitz and Glamour

Mumbai, Sep 30: The Chivas fashion’s Mumbai tour came to an end with a lot of glitz and glamour. As is the tradition, Chivas Fashion Week celebrates the oomph and style of fashion. The fashion extravaganza concluded with a never seen before collection by fashion designers Shantanu and Nikhil, adding up to actress Dia Mirza’s charisma, along with Neha Dhupia’s style quotient and singer Sonu Nigam’s starry strides.

These Bollywood celebrities truly knew, how to rock the ramp. According to Sonu Nigam, “Yes, I’m walking the ramp for the first time, I sure had a lot of fun. When I was walking on the ramp, I couldn’t realise whether I was walking, living the moment or flying.” Again Dia commented, “I felt like a princess, and the outfit is designed and inspired by as it is called ‘the tribal princess’ attire. I really felt very exotic tonight.” Neha echoed similar sentiments as she cited, “It was absolutely a wonderful feeling for me.”

The other designers, who presented their collections on the final day were Wendell Rodricks. As Wendell stated, “My collection for Chivas is called ‘Romantica’. It’s a very young, feminine and flirty collection.” While Rocky S mentioned, “Well, it’s always been a blast, six years with Chivas. Every time, I look forward to this event, as we get to meet all the other designers and see their creations. We all are great friends and we love and enjoy parties, and we also love showing our collections.” 

Shantanu, Fashion Designer, said, “It’s certainly different, as Chivas is a business to consumer event unlike other trade events, which is more businesss to business (B to B).” But with so many fashion weeks, what made Chivas fashion tour different, was it’s accessibility and it’s direct reach to the consumers.

Chivas stood out singularly for style with varied expressions in its Mumbai tour. Chivas fashion tour will now travel to Bangalore, Kolkata and New Delhi before the grand finale in Dubai on November 22 (2008). A lot more of glitz, glamour and style can surely be anticipitaed from the grand finale!
