Beltangady, Aug 20: "If you follow the Indian culture, the chances of contracting infectious diseases get minimized. Those who follow the practice of shaking hands with others, run the risk of spreading infections and getting infected. Those who pay respect by folding their hands, people who meditate and families who have basil plant in their courtyard, do not get infectious diseases." These were the reassuring words uttered by Mangalore Lok Sabha member Nalin Kumar Kateel.

He also felt, that the country can progress only if the rulers, officials and the commoners work in tandem.
