Dubai, Oct 28: Steevan D'Souza has been elected the president of Omzoorche Dive, an association of Omzoor parishioners residing in the UAE.

This was announced during the association's general body meeting recently.

The new committee for the year 2015 – 2016 was formed on October 26 and the members are as follows:

President – Steevan D'Souza
Secretary – Meveena Vas
Treasurer – Vijay Tellis
Culture Secretary – Lancy D'Souza
Media Representative – Manoj Vas
Advisor – Arthur D'Souza

Supporting committee members: George Menezes, Lucy Pereira, Arthur Pereira, Sunil Pereira, Robin D'Souza Prasanth D'Silva, Jyothi D'Souza, Babitha D'Souza, Glaniv Menezes, Zeena D'Souza

Outgoing president George Menezes thanked all the office-bearers and committee members for their tremendous support during his tenure as president for one year. He congratulated all the newly-elected members and promised his full support to the Association in future.

Newly-elected president Steevan D'Souza also thanked everyone for reposing faith in him and electing him president of Omzoorche Dive. He requested the support of all members to work together so that the association gets strengthened.

All the newly-elected members expressed their views and promised their full support to take Omzorche Dive to greater heights.
