Happy Diwali : Surat businessman Savji Dholakia gifts 400flats, 1260 cars to his employees


Surat, Oct 30 (DB) : Meet Savji Dholakia, the owner of Hare Krishna Exporters that trades in diamonds and textiles, who has spent as much as 51 crores on Diwali gifts. He will hand over these gifts in a function to be organised by the company.


This has become an annual affair for the employees of Hare Krishna Exports, which also marks its golden jubilee this year.

The company employees more than 5500 people and as many as 1,660 employees were named as the company’s best performers on the basis of their performance this year. (400 flats, 1260 flats)

In 2015,Savji Dholakia had gifted 491 cars and 200 flats to its employees.

His company currently exports finished diamonds to more than 50 countries through affiliates in the US, Belgium, UAE and Hong Kong.

The headline-grabbing loyalty scheme was started in 2012 years ago and that year he had gifted three. In 2013, 70 cars were gifted as incentives.






Savji Dholakia is fondly addressed as ‘Kaka’. He has been generous to his employee as he got his 280 employees, who have been with the company for more than a decade, insured.

He also ensures that employees’ families get to go on annual pilgrimages at company cost.
