Bantwal, Oct 22: A woman filed a complaint with Vittal police accusing a man of pulling her hand in a bid to outrage her modesty.

Lalita, daughter of late Ramesh of Kanyana village in the taluk is the complainant. Local resident Santhosh is the alleged accused.

In her complaint, Lalita mentioned that Santhosh was speaking to her on phone from quite some time. On the evening of August 21, when Lalita was returning home from her husband’s house, Santhosh arrived on bike and waylaid her and pulled her hand in order to sexually assault her. Santhosh escaped from the spot as he saw two locals arriving on the same way.

Vittal police are investigating further.
