Udupi, Nov 14: Udupi block Congress president Ramesh Kanchan submitted an application at the Congress committee office being the aspirant for Udupi MLA’s seat as per directions from Karnataka Pradesh Congress committee president D K Shivakumar.

Ramesh Kanchan has been active in the Congress party for the last several years. He is currently the councillor of Udupi Bailoor ward and the leader of the opposition party.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress committee convener Murali Shetty, former Chikkamagaluru district Congress committee president Dr Vijay Kumar, former Udupi district youth Congress committee president Vishwas Ameen, Udupi block Congress committee vice president Ganesh Devadiga, Sharath Shetty, Udupi Congress leader Prithesh Poojary Chitpadi, Brahmavar block’s Chantaru, gram panchayat members Sandesh Shetty, Congress leaders Rakshit, Rithesh Salian, Sanjay Acharya and others were present.
