Bantwal: Auto driver attacked with machetes by gang of four, critically injured

Bantwal, Nov 14: There were attempts to hack to death an auto rickshaw driver at Nadaje, Near Bolantur. The survivor is Shakir, son of Aboobacker, a resident of Guli, near Bolantur. He was critically injured in the attack and has been admitted to the hospital.

Shakir, who was returning home after a Kabadi match at 2 am at night, was waylaid on Nadaje road, near Bolantur by a gang of four miscreants and brutally attacked with a machete. The miscreants fled after the assault.

Local people have alleged that known people might be involved in the assault. Vittal station police have registered a case.
