Kasargod, Nov 18: The state director general of police, Anil Kanth has directed police officers in the district to take strict action against crimes including drug peddling. He was speaking at the office of the district SP in a meeting of the DySP and police officers. He reviewed the law and order situation in the district.

He directed action against drugs related crimes and goonda activities. He suggested actions to be taken during Sabarimala festival and asked to respond properly to women, children, elders and people in general.

Kozhikode city police commissioner A Akbar, Kannur zone deputy inspector Rahul R Nayar, district SP Dr Vaibhav Saxena, P K Raju and others were present.
