Udupi taluk Kannada literary conference scheduled on Nov 25-26

Udupi, Nov 19: “The 13th Kannada Udupi Literary conference will be held by Udupi district Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Udupi taluk unit and the department of Kannada and culture at Janardhana Mahakali temple pandal, Ambalpady on November 25 and November 26,” said Sahitya Parishad taluk president Raviraj H P in a news conference.

“The programme will be inaugurated by trustee Dr N B Vijaya Ballal on Nov 25. MLA K Raghupati Bhat will preside over the programme. It will be followed by a children's poetry conference, dances, Janapada and classical music, mono acting and drama.”

“The flag hoisting will be held on November 26 in the leadership of district president Neelavara Surendra Adiga at 8.30 am. Conference president professor N T Bhat will be escorted to the dais in procession. After the inauguration of an exhibition and book stall, well known thinker Veena Bannanje will inaugurate the hall programme,” he said.

“Poetry conferences, recitation of stories, discussions forums, variety entertainments, discussions with the presidents, felicitations to achievers and organizations will be held. The programme will conclude at 4 pm,” he said.

Udupi district Sahitya Parishad president Neelavara Surendra Adiga, taluk honorary secretary Janardhan Kodavoor, district office bearers Bhuvana Prasad Hegde and Narasimha Murthy Rao were present in the news conference.
