Udupi: Power Parba of lady entrepreneurs from Jan 13 to 15, 2023

Udupi, Nov 19: “Power organization, the forum of lady entrepreneurs here will be celebrating this year’s Power Parba festival in the cooperation of Udupi district silver jubilee festival committee, small and medium scale industries, G Twenty one earth one family and One future at Udupi Beedinagudde Bayalu Ranga Mandira on January 13, 14 and 15, 2023,” said Poonam Shetty, president of the Sangha in the press conference.

“The grand celebrations will be held to provide a market for the products of ladies entrepreneurs. The programme that was held first in 2016 was a grand success in 2018 and 2020 and more than 10,000 people had participated in the fair. The Power Parba was held despite the Covid pandemic in order to unite and support the women entrepreneurs,” she said.

“Devaraj K, joint director, MSEM and DFO said that the Power Parba is a team work and as per PMS scheme there is a provision to obtain a subsidy of 80% in building rent in the business conducted by general category women and 100% subsidy in the building rent out of business conducted by scheduled caste and scheduled tribe category women.”

Shruthi Shenoy of the sponsorship committee said that display of more than 125 products and services will be possible in the fair. “60 marketing stalls of MSME units will be available. Shops of unique food, special games zones and various competitions will be held. This is an opportunity to introduce the products and services of various companies.”

“Rs 3 lac will be received as Platinum donations, Rs 1.5 lac as gold donations, Rs 25,000 as silver donations and Rs 5,000 will be received as bronze donations,” she said.

Dina Prabhakar, organizing secretary and Pratibha R V treasurer were present.
