Mangaluru, Dec 10: ICYM Mangalore diocese launched DYC 2023 logo on December 10, at St Joseph Vaz Home, Jeppu.
The Diocesan Youth Conference - DYC 2023 is scheduled to be held in the month of February 17-19, 2023 at Kirem in collaboration with Kinnigoli deanery ICYM and Kirem ICYM unit. The theme for the conference is 'Faith Filled Families builds a Strong Community'.
The logo was launched by retired senior priests Fr Dr Valerian D’Souza and Fr William Gonsalves who were the former diocesan youth directors of ICYM. Fr Valerian addressed the gathering saying that youth have the ability to think creatively through which we can achieve great success.
Fr Ashwin Cardoza honoured both the priests during the programme for rendering their service as diocese youth directors in the year 1970-1973.
DEXCO, Central Council members, Kinnigoli deanery and Kirem youth were present during the logo launch. The president of ICYM Mangalore, Anil John Sequiera, welcomed the gathering, the secretary Nishal Preemal D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks and Winston Sequeira compered the programme.
Fr William Gonsalves blessed the youth and concluded the programme with a prayer.
